In need of some gluten free bread and avocados in a hurry? If you’re an Amazon Prime member and live in Austin, Cincinnati, Dallas, or Virginia Beach, Amazon will now deliver those ingredients from Whole Foods to your door in two hours or less, for free.
The online retail giant, which acquired the grocery chain last year for $13.7 billion, just launched the new Prime perk, which is currently only available in the four aforementioned locations. If you live elsewhere, don’t feel too left out. Amazon and Whole Foods plan to expand this feature “across the US in 2018.”
If you do live in a neighborhood of Austin, Cincinnati, Dallas, or Virginia Beach, head to the Prime Now site or app for iOS or Android. Enter your ZIP code to make sure you’re in the delivery area, then start shopping.
“Thousands of items across fresh and organic produce, bakery, dairy, meat and seafood, floral, and everyday staples” are available for free two-hour delivery, the companies said.
Out of booze? No worries; “select alcohol is also available for delivery to customers,” according to Amazon and Whole Foods. Cheers to that!
To take advantage of this perk, you’ll need to rack up an order of at least $35, which let’s be honest, is pretty easy at Whole Foods. If two hours is too long to wait, you can pay $7.99 to have your stuff delivered within one hour. Prime Now deliveries from Whole Foods are available daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
“We’re happy to bring our customers the convenience of free two-hour delivery through Prime Now and access to thousands of natural and organic groceries and locally sourced favorites,” Whole Foods Market co-founder and CEO John Mackey said in a statement. “Together, we have already lowered prices on many items, and this offering makes Prime customers’ lives even easier.”
A $99 yearly (or $12.99 monthly) Prime membership also includes free, two-day shipping on Amazon.com purchases; unlimited access to Prime Video, Prime Music, and Prime Reading; unlimited photo storage via Prime Photos; and early access to Amazon’s Lightning Deals. Prime members also enjoy special discounts at Whole Foods.
